At the end of Maleficent, the witch’s love for Aurora revived the sleeping princess, the two defeated King Stefan, Aurora was crowned Queen, and Maleficent regained her great wings. Picking up a few years later, the sequel will explore the complex relationship between the two characters as Aurora and Maleficent team up to save the magical forest.The trailer showed potential conflict in the form of Queen Ingrith.
